Artisan AI: Singapore's Enterprise AI Agent Platform Redefines Business Automation

"Most AI tools in the enterprise space are still stuck in the productivity augmentation phase," explained CEO Raphael Tan, a former ML engineering lead at Google Asia-Pacific. "They're great at helping humans do their jobs faster. But we're building AI that actually does the job. Our agents don't just advise — they act."

Solving the Enterprise Integration Challenge

The biggest hurdle for enterprise AI adoption has been integration. Most companies have data scattered across dozens of systems — ERPs, CRMs, accounting software, HR platforms. Getting AI to work with all of these has traditionally required months of custom development. Artisan AI claims to have cracked this problem with its "Universal Connector" framework, which provides pre-built integrations with over 200 enterprise software platforms.

The platform uses a low-code approach, allowing business users to configure AI agents through natural language instructions. "Tell the agent what you need it to do in plain English, connect your systems, and it figures out the rest," said Tan. "We're seeing non-technical users deploy production-ready agents in hours, not months."

Financial Services Leads the Way

Singapore's financial institutions have been among Artisan AI's earliest adopters. The company recently announced partnerships with three regional banks to deploy AI agents for credit risk assessment, anti-money laundering screening, and customer onboarding. Governance and Safety First

Given the autonomous nature of Artisan's AI agents, governance is clearly a concern. The company has built in multiple safety layers, including human-in-the-loop checkpoints for high-stakes actions, comprehensive audit trails, and role-based access controls. All agent decisions can be traced, explained, and overridden by authorized personnel.

Artisan AI has also aligned its platform with Singapore's evolving AI governance framework. The company participates in the IMDA's AI Governance Sandbox and has received provisional certification for its fairness and explainability features.

Rapid Growth and Regional Expansion

The startup raised S$12 million in seed funding in late 2025, followed by a S$28 million Series A in March 2026 led by Sequoia Capital Southeast Asia. With a team of 65 people now — up from just 12 six months ago — Artisan AI plans to expand its presence across Southeast Asia, with offices in Jakarta, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City opening later this year.

The company is also investing heavily in research, establishing a partnership with the National University of Singapore to develop new techniques for multi-agent collaboration. The goal: enable businesses to deploy teams of specialized AI agents that can work together on complex workflows.

What's Next

Artisan AI's next major milestone is the launch of its "Agent Marketplace" in Q3 2026, where businesses will be able to share and monetize their custom-built AI agents. The company also plans to introduce industry-specific agent templates for healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing verticals.
